Lenovo is planning to introduce a new set of software improvements for its line of Windows computers. According to the Chinese computer manufacturer, the optimization will allow its PCs to boot faster in a matter of 24 seconds, thanks to its new Lenovo Enhanced Experience 3  (EE3) software. Lenovo also added that the 24-second booting time will apply to PCs having the traditional spinning disk hard drive. This, of course, means that the boot time can go faster with a solid state disk.

Lenovo said that while a typical PC running Windows 7 is already good, the new EE3 software will allow your PCs to boot 40% faster – a bold claim that Lenovo claims to have achieved already. So what’s so special about EE3? First, there’s BootShield for notebooks that will prevent other softwares from loading during launch. The EE3 also has the RapidBoot software which defrags the hard disk used to load Windows OS.

Lenovo has also tweaked a couple of drivers and supported systems on the BIOS to guarantee maximum performance. Chances are you’ve heard about Lenovo’s Enhanced Experience software before. But contrary to EE2 that works great with PCs having SSDs, EE3 now has the capability to optimize HHDs with boot times that are 5 seconds faster. Among the first to feature the EE3 technlogy will be the Lenovo U310 and the U410 ultrabooks.
