Good news folks, if you have been looking forward to getting your hands on Sprint’s first LTE-enabled device, the LG Viper 4G LTE, you’re in luck as pre-orders for the Android handset have begun. Also more interestingly, Sprint has confirmed that the device will be launching on the 22nd of April as earlier rumors had initially suggested. The device will be available for pre-order via Sprint’s website and will set would-be customers back $99.99 on a new two-year contract.
For those unfamiliar, the LG Viper 4G LTE will feature a 4” display, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor under its hood, support for Google Wallet, 4G LTE connectivity and will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It will also sport 4GB of internal storage and that can be expanded via microSD and will include a free 4GB microSD card along with the device. Users can also expect a 5MP rear-facing camera and a VGA front-facing camera. It should also be noted that the LG Viper 4G LTE is a “green” phone and features a body made from 50% recycled plastic. Its packaging is also 100% recyclable. [Press release]
