Namco Bandai’s recent media event at Las Vegas might keep you on your gaming toes, especially if you happen to own a Sony PS3 in your living room, as there is a slew of titles which will definitely leave you wanting for more – hopefully. After all, it is rather rare to find a game or game franchise that is of a consistently high quality like Mario or Halo. But I digress – without much further ado, here are some of the upcoming titles for the PS3 which will definitely keep you more than occupied over the year.
Ni No Kuni: Wrath of The White Witch will see Level-5 (White Knight Chronicles, Dragon Quest VIII) and animation powerhouse Studio Ghibli come together, delivering a PS3 exclusive RPG title that boasts an impressive cel-shaded graphical style which will certainly pop eyeballs. Arriving early next year, let us hope that there will be no delays associated with Ni No Kuni: Wrath of The White Witch.
Star Trek is a third-person shooter which will focus on Kirk and Spock, offering online and split-screen co-op gaming sessions, where each character does not only exhibit cosmetic differences, but will also feature very different weapons and abilities.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will definitely puzzle seasoned gamers as the curse of a newbie mashing buttons beating the crap out of a veteran who has memorized combos for all the characters in the game itself. Ah well, I do not expect such situations to occur too frequently, but it will most probably be more of an oddity. The final game will feature more than 50 playable combatants, good luck trying to master all of them!
