Nintendo has confirmed yesterday evening that they will be showing off the new Mario as well as Pikmin games at E3 this year on the Wii U, and Nintendo’s statement regarding Pikmin goes like this, “In a recent interview, Mr. Miyamoto confirmed that a new Pikmin game will be shown at the E3 Expo in June. He believes that anyone who has played Pikmin games in the past will enjoy playing.” As for Mario, “In a recent interview, Mr. Miyamoto confirmed that a new Super Mario Bros. game for the Wii U system will be shown at this year’s E3 Expo. This is based on the Mario experience that was demonstrated at last year’s E3 Expo. We’ll have more to announce about our plans for the E3 Expo at a later date.”
What kind of adventures do you think Mario will engage in for the Wii U? One thing is for sure, with Mr. Miyamoto at the helm, you can be guaranteed that Nintendo’s quality of first tier titles will be maintained, and with Nintendo having already registered the Super Mario 4 domain, it makes perfect sense for a new Mario game to be announced later this year. Hopefully it will be able to enthrall us gamers all over again, just like how Mario did all those years ago.
