Nokia might be leaning more towards the Windows Phone platform for its collection of smartphones, but this does not mean that the Finnish phone manufacturer has neglected the featurephone market, or even its smartphones that run on the Symbian platform. No sir, there is a new Nokia Browser 2.0 update that was released which will cater to current Nokia Browser users, where it will play nice with the entire Nokia Asha range as well as Series 40 devices. Nokia Browser is an app that will also help you save money in the long run if you are not on an unlimited data plan, since it is capable of condensing data by up to 90%, loading Web pages far faster and cheaper than ever before.

Other new updates that will be included with the Nokia Browser 2.0 update are better searching and sharing, not to mention a more intuitive user interface that offers one-click access to top local sites right from the start page itself. Not only that, you are able to multitask while surfing, meaning you can attend to incoming text messages or fire off that urgent email while waiting for the day’s sports news to load in the Nokia Browser.

Just to be more specific about the kind of handsets that the Nokia Browser 2.0 update will support, we are looking across the Nokia Series 40 range, regardless of whether they are Touch, QWERTY and Non-Touch. Expect this update to be pre-loaded on some of the current devices, but it will be a given for future Nokia Series 40 devices.
