Nokia Lumia gets Bing TranslatorYes, AT&T’s Translator app now has a rival of sorts (indirectly) in the form of the Bing Translator which will work across all Nokia Lumia smartphones – that would cover the Nokia Lumia 610, Nokia Lumia 710, Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 900. The Bing Translator will function as your very own personal assistant whenever you want to chit chat with someone else in a different language. Definitely ideal to help you get the most out of your holiday or whenever you are in a foreign land. What the Bing Translator does is this – it will use your smartphone’s camera to scan the text that is in front of you, swapping those foreign looking (and sounding) words for the ones that you already know. Of course, if you need to make use of its translation capability, there has to be an Internet connection – which would cost a bomb if you are on international data roaming. Good thing with Bing Translator is this – you can download language packs for a number of countries, so make sure you do so before you leave the airport on your holiday!
