Panasonic has just announced their latest Micro Four Thirds shooter, the Lumix GF5. This interchangeable lens system camera will come with a new 12.1-megapixel Live MOS sensor while throwing in a slew of shooting options in order to enhance your overall photography experience. Low-light situations should not be an issue with the Lumix GF5, as it is capable of shooting at a maximum 12800 high ISO sensitivity. There is also a built-in noise reduction system that include a combination 3DNR (3D Noise Reduction) and MNR (Multi-process Noise Reduction), making it possible to reproduce both bright and dark areas in a faithful manner without too much noise. Read on about the other hardware specifications after the jump.

Coming in a sophisticated and stylish design, the Lumix GF5 will also boast of a compact, lightweight body with built-in flash. Panasonic so kindly threw in a rubberized grip so that it is more comfortable to hold with just one hand, and since it plays nice with the Micro Four Thirds standard, you can fool around with a slew of interchangeable lenses for a broader photographic experience.

Want to shoot video as well? That is not a problem with the Panasonic Lumix GF5, since it is capable of recording 1920 x 1080 60i full-High Definition videos in AVCHD format, and you can also be more professional thanks to selective focusing that lets you change the focus whenever you shoot the video. A dedicated video record button is there to help you start shooting a video even when capturing photos halfway, ensuring that there are no lost moments.

You can pick up the Panasonic Lumix GF5 in black, white and red in a couple of kit options – body with 14-42mm standard zoom lens and body with 14-42mm power zoom lens, where it will retail for $599 and $749, respectively. [Press Release]
