Pinball fans who own a Sony PS3 or a PS Vita, market your calendars this coming April 10th. This is when Sony will roll out Pinball Arcade for both platforms, delivering a quartet of tables that are said to run on the most accurate pinball physics engine to date. Apart from that, Pinball Arcade will also give players the opportunity to purchase the game (as well as any DLC tables) just once, and it can be played on both the PS3 and PS Vita. If you prefer to rock with the latter, then make sure you make a meal out of the front and rear touchscreens for a truly unique gaming experience. Sony claims that Pinball Arcade will run smoothly at 60 frames per second, while the lighting effects and real-time reflections make for an eye candy feast.

If realism is at the top of your list, Sony feels that what they are offering this April 10th will be at the pinnacle of the video game industry where this niche game segment is concerned. Sony has also acquired licenses from Bally, Williams, Stern, Sega, Data East, Gottlieb, and obtained other ancillary rights like Monster Bash and Creature from the Black Lagoon from Universal in order to deliver what some might deem to be the greatest possible collection of classic tables to date. Are you game for some pinball action?
