Samsung logoSamsung seems to be on a roll when it comes to trademarking names, and they seem to be doing it in batches of three. The last time we reported on a Galaxy trademark filing, we were given the Galaxy Perk, Galaxy Lift and the Galaxy Sire. Adding on to the Galaxy name list, Samsung has recently registered an additional three names. This time in the form of the Galaxy Velvet, the Galaxy Metrix and the Galaxy Legend, the last of which smells like a potential lawsuit from HTC thanks to the HTC Legend that was released in 2010. Similar to before, it is possible that these three new Galaxy names could be the different names of the same device that could be headed onto different carriers. In the meantime to anyone who’s keeping track, we will be adding these names to our watch list and see if future Samsung devices using those names pop up.
