When you buy a new car, you would never ever think that it might be recalled due to an issue with its wipers. Well apparently that’s the issue Ford Focus cars are currently facing and some Ford Focus models built from August 1st 2010 through October 18th 2011 are being recalled. The issue, as we mentioned above, is due to its wipers whose wiring harness may be missing a seal. If you’re wondering why is this a big deal, the missing of the seal under normal circumstances might not be an issue, but in the event of rain, water could get in and cause the wipers to stop functioning.

For those who have driven in heavy rains or when it is snowing, you guys can appreciate how helpful a wiper is, and how dangerous it would be if your wipers were not functioning properly. This could lead to decreased visibility and potential accidents, so if you are an affected owner, expect to receive a call or a notification on the 21st of May 2012. Your cars will be inspected by dealers who will clean and install a seal if necessary. According to the reports, about 140,310 Ford Focus vehicles could be potentially affected by this.
