Apple co-founder and award-winning computer engineer Steve Wozniak is no doubt one of the most influential people in the tech industry. That means that whatever he says, or does, can actually mean big –  really big. So when “The Woz” said via his Twitter account that he was visiting AT&T for a Nokia Lumia 900 unit, everyone dug the story.

Apparently Steve had a lot of nice things to say about the Lumia 900, the $99.99 Windows Phone from Nokia that’s been selling like crazy. He said that it was surprising to see how the apps appear on the Lumia’s screen and how they look better and more beautiful than the same apps used on the iPhone and Android.

In  a phone interview with Gina Smith and Dan Patterson, Steve Wozniak confirmed his taste for the Windows Phone Mango 7.5 device. “I got about 10 cellular devices. But, uhm, just for looks and beauty, I definitely favor the Windows Phone over Android”. You can listen to the whole interview here (aNewDomain.net).

Furthermore, he said that he is more likely to recommend Windows Phone over Android phones because the latter has a great user interface and it doesn’t have a lot of apps yet. “I also surmised that Steve Jobs might have been reincarnated at Microsoft, due to a lot of what I see and feel with this phone making me think of a lot of great Apple things,” Wozniak said.

His statement raised one question: does he love Windows Phone more than the iPhone? While he likes Windows Phone that much, the Apple co-founder safely said that the iPhone is still the number one phone in his heart. Either way, it will probably take some time for Android to regain Wozniak’s affection for the platform.
