The third generation of Swiftkey virtual keyboard for Android is now available accessible as a free beta to SwiftKey VIPs. We’ve been playing with it on the Galaxy Note and we really liked the overall responsiveness of Swiftkey, which is much snappier than the Note’s Android, Samsung or Swype keyboards. As of late, there was a felling that SwiftKey had lost performance in favor to features, but we’ve been assured that responsiveness is a top priority for the company.

Interestingly, Version 3 is not about performance, but it has cool features like Smart Space, which basically ads spaces in-between words (common typo on smart devices). For that, SmartSpace is surprisingly accurate, and quite unique. SmartSpace also makes sure that the spacing between punctuation and words is correct depending on the current language used. By the way, SwiftKey now supports 42 languages, including:  Korean, Estonian, Farsi, Icelandic, Latvian, Lithuanian and Serbian. Check all the new features in the official video:
