Twitter’s mobile presence has been an important growth engine for the microblogging site, and new versions of Twitter for the iPhone and Android-powered platforms are now available in the App Store and Google Play, respectively, making mobile Twitter life a whole lot easier to discover than ever before. There is a new Discover tab which assists you in looking for interesting and timely content which matters to you. This update will allow you to view Activity on Twitter for iPhone and Twitter for Android, and for newcomers to the scene, Activity here refers to a stream of updates which will let you have an overall view on just which Tweets are favorited or retweeted by the people you follow, as well as the accounts of folks who follow you.

You can now also tap any story just once in order to check out Tweets about a particular trend or news article. Follow that up by simply reading through the whole story, or join in on the conversation by replying, retweeting or favoriting related Tweets. Performing searches is now a whole lot easier on either mobile platform as the search algorithm has gotten smarter, letting you view suggestions for different spellings and related terms for your queries.

It is also a snap to look out for people thanks to the Connect tab which enables you to begin typing the first or last name or username of the person you’re looking for, where the name will then go through an autocomplete sequence for folks who you currently follow.
