Never ever judge a book by its cover, and the same applies to the world of notebooks, too. However, when it comes to the Acer Aspire One 725, perhaps “judgment” might be well worth the effort, as it does seem to work as well as it looks. The Acer Aspire One 725 was specially designed to offer a “sensational visual experience for superb multimedia”, which is pretty fly for a netbook. After all, netbooks were not famous before today for its superior battery life as well as processing power, something that the Acer Aspire One 725 seem to go against the grain if it were able to playback movies, games, photos, and videos smoothly.

Coming inCaribbean Blue and Volcanic Black, the Acer Aspire One 725 will feature a glossy, glittery cover, accompanied by a soft matte finish on the palm-rest which actually color co-ordinates with the cover for a more pleasant look. Ah, the soft matte finish also works great in preventing you from starting a collection of fingerprints and smudges. Tipping the scales at a mere 1.2kg, the Acer Aspire One 725 measures just 1″ thin.

Apart from that, it will also come with an 11.6” high-brightness Acer CineCrystal LED-backlit display with HD resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio, an HDMI port, the Acer HD CrystalEye webcam, and AMD APU Fusion technology amongst others. There doesn’t seem to have any word for pricing though. [Press Release]
