Word on the street has it that Amazon will be introducing color e-book readers (no doubt from their Kindle family) to the world sometime in the second half of this year, as manufacturers in the supply chain are already starting to shipping related parts and components this month. Bear in mind that industry sources are the ones behind this piece of information, so until something official comes out from Amazon themselves, we will just have to take what we read with a grain of salt at the moment. Still, a color Kindle on the horizon is worth mulling over, and is definitely not far fetched at all, where it is said that these potential color capable Amazon e-book readers will feature multi-touch capacitive touch panels. E Ink Holdings is right now the front runner to deliver the color displays for Amazon’s use, say the sources. Would you welcome a color e-book reader with open arms?
