Horror games are pretty much standard fare in the sense that you’ll be pitted against ghosts, zombies and basically scary monsters. Usually the role played in these horror games is that of a hero-like character with guns and weapons at their disposal to kill the bad guys, but here’s a twist that some fans of the genre might be interested in taking a look at. Norwegian developers at Krillbrite Studio have announced an upcoming horror game called “Among the Sleep” where the player will be playing from the perspective of a two year old toddler. According to the game’s description:

Being played in first person, the game let its players immerse themselves in a child’s limitless imagination. This is a perspective we all have a distant familiarity with, but few can clearly remember what it felt like.

In the borderland between dream and reality, surreal creatures and diverse environments will present you with both physical and mental obstacles that challenge your creativity.

Sounds like a pretty unique idea and if you’re interested in getting your hands on the game, it is set to be released on both PC and Mac platforms in 2013. Until then you can head on over to Killbrite’s blog to follow the development of the game, or check out the gameplay teaser in the video above.
