We know that RIM has announced that the Blackberry Playbook tablet will be getting an upgrade in the form of an LTE version, but just when exactly will we be able to see the device hit the shelves? While a specific date of release has yet to be confirmed, the device was recently spotted at the FCC and has reportedly gained FCC approval for its release into the consumer market. The specifics of the tablet was not outed in the FCC filing, but we can assume that the full details will be given once it has officially been announced for sale. In the mean time, other connectivity options such as NFC and Bluetooth (was not specified which version, 4.0 perhaps?) was spotted in the device as well. If a LTE capable Playbook sounds like a device you wouldn’t mind getting your hands on, be sure to check back with us in the future as we will keep you updated on the situation.
