Dell has just launched its Dell Optiplex 9010, an all-in-one  (AIO) PC designed for a business environment. It is quite obvious that this new Optiplex looks so much better and smaller than the current Optiplex 990/790 series. The new Optiplex 9010 has a discrete black facade, and a nice silver back. The design is very clean and I really like how the stand has been designed so that cables could go through a central location. If you need to, the Optiplex 9010 can also be mounted to any VESA-compatible ARM or stand, so there are a ton of options.Of course, being a business computer shouldn’t be about the look, even if that is more and more important these days… This computer is built around an Intel VPro chipset, which makes it easier for Information Technology departments to manage and maintain computers remotely. There’s also support for hardware full-drive encryption and plenty of IT tools for system administrators.

Specification-wise, this friendly 23″ AIO computer can host the latest Intel processor, up to 16GB of memory and many storage options ranging from 128GB of SSD to a 1TB 7200 rpm drive. Users also have the choice between WIFI and Ethernet connectivity and there are plenty of IO ports in the back, including 4xUSB 2.0, 4x USB 3.0, VGA, HDMI, PS2/2 ports for keyboard and mouse (!) and audio connectors. The unit weighs 7.6lbs and you have to add 2.4lbs for the stand if you choose to use it.

This has to be one of the nicest “business PC” that we have seen in a while. In fact, Dell should even make 27″ and 30″ versions of it.
