If your profession involves taking photos of children, you might realize that it does get a bit tricky trying to get your subjects to face the camera and pose properly. While there are a variety of different ways that a photographer can get a child subject to focus, given our day and age, gadgets like smartphones and tablets will probably do a better job of entertaining and keeping a young child focused. This is where the iCandy camera accessory comes in. It is basically a bracket that attaches to the bottom of your DSLR camera and comes with a mount that lets the photographer attach an iPhone in front of it. This will be a great way to keep kids entertained with games and videos while you try to take their photo.

Not just limited to kids, the iCandy will also work for slightly older models by turning it into a secondary display that gives your subject instant feedback on their poses or it can even give them an idea of what sort of pose you’re expecting them to give/emulate. The iCandy is currently a Kickstarter project so if this sounds like a camera accessory you’d like to own, head on over to its Kickstarter page for the details.
