NetherRealm Studios otherwise known as ‘those guys who made Mortal Kombat’ seem to want to break away from the endeavor and have collaborated with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to bring us an all new DC fighting game titled Injustice: Gods Among Us. After the release of its latest iOS game Batman: Arkham City Lockdown in December last year, the developer has plunged in head first to bring us this new fighting game featuring DC superheroes and villains that we’ve all grown to love.

Injustice: Gods Among Us will apparently focused on characters from DC comics such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Solomon Grundy, Harley Quinn, The Flash and a few others. You might be thinking that this newly announced game will probably contain the same old story line where good fights evil, evil gets annoyed and sends in the artillery after which the good guys nearly die but right before they nearly do, they suddenly get all their power back and more to lay the smackdown on the baddies.

NetherRealm don’t agree with that (and neither should you) and claim that this completely original storyline isn’t that cut and dry hero versus villain tale and that it promises to ‘blur the lines between good and evil, on an epic scale.” The game is expected to release some time in 2013 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U. If you want to watch the announcement trailer for the game (courtesy of Gamespot), it’s embedded above. We will probably find out more about it during E3 next month.
