RIM to release limited edition developer device laterRIM announced that they would be giving away several Blackberry 10 Dev Alpha phones to some of its developers, but it looks like RIM has plans to launch another device some time down the road. According to Alex Saunders, RIM is set to launch a “very limited” edition of a Blackberry 10 device as the launch date of the platform approaches. Unfortunately it appears that this “very limited” edition device could be, well, limited to developers. Developers who own the Dev Alpha will have the option of trading up to the new device. Given its limited edition status, there is a good chance that there might be some strings attached to it although that remains to be seen for now. Also there is a good chance that there will probably be a few enterprising developers who might put the device up for auction and could be picked up by Blackberry fans and collectors alike. Details of the device remain unknown for now but we expect more will be revealed closer to its launch.
