We have taken a look at the Samsung Series 7 Ultrabooks recently, and while those are definitely things of beauty, how about the Samsung Series 9 Ultrabook? This is also a work of engineering art that is drool-worthy, but mom always told us not to judge a book by its cover – which is why we will also need to take a closer look at what the Samsung Series 9 Ultrabook offers underneath the hood. Fors tarters, it will feature Ivy Bridge components that are definitely in line with what the Series 7 Gamer notebook had, although the overall theme with the Series 9 would be efficiency compared to performance. A dual-core 1.7GHz Core i5 3317U CPU should be in the running as the processor of choice, while it ought to be kept company by Intel HD Graphics 4000 and the HM75 Express chipset. Expect a 128GB SSD inside as the primary means of storage, while the RAM count has increased to 8GB. No idea on pricing or availability, but we do expect an announcement from Samsung to come real soon.
