Games if you’re a fan of racing games like Mario Kart, you might be interested to learn that SEGA has recently announced its Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. The game is expected to make its way onto the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo 3DS and the PC this holiday. As the name of the game might have implied, the characters featured will be from SEGA’s cast of characters such as Sonic, Vyse from Skies of Arcadia and Gilius Thunderhead from Golden Axe.

The tracks are reportedly dynamic and will include what SEGA is calling a “fair weapon system” that will allow players to block or evade incoming attacks. No word on a specific release date or pricing yet, but for more info head on over to SEGA’s blog or to their Flickr page for additional screenshots of the game. In the mean time check out the video below to view the Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed announcement trailer.
