While some of Spotify’s rivals, namely Rdio and MOG have had iPad apps for a while now, Spotify’s own iPad app was nowhere to be seen save for a leaked photo which did not really give us a clue as to when we could be seeing the app hit the iTunes App Store. Well the good news is that if you’re been eagerly looking forward to streaming songs from Spotify onto your iPad, the app is finally here! The app is free of charge of course and will give Spotify subscribers access to the company’s portfolio of music and will allow them to stream and share songs all via their iPad. The app will also feature gapless playback, a crossfade function and AirPlay integration which means that you will be able to stream your music onto AirPlay compatible devices. Head on over to the iTunes App Store for the download or check out the video above for the details. [Press release]
