Photographers are no doubt familiar with the flexible tripod, the GorillaPod. For those unfamiliar, it’s basically a tripod that’s flexible and can wrap itself around a variety of objects like lamp posts, the legs of chairs, your arm, etc, providing photographers with unique angles and perspectives to shoot from. Well if such an accessory appealed to you, you’ll want to check out this Kickstarter project dubbed Une Bobine which is essentially a flexible stand/cable for iOS devices. The flexibility is achieved thanks to a “very special metal gooseneck material” that can be bent and shaped into a variety of different positions. Based on the photos, it also appears to be strong and sturdy enough to prop up an iPhone although we probably wouldn’t attempt that with an iPad. The Une Bobine Kickstarter project has long surpassed its humble funding goal of $9,800 so if you’d like to pick one up for yourself, head on over to its Kickstarter page where $25 will guarantee you an Une Bobine once it has been put into production.
