Are you looking forward to getting your hands on the Nokia 808 PureView handset? At its launch, Nokia did not mention the US as one of its possible markets, leading many of us to believe that the only way we’d be able to get our hands on the device would be by either importing it ourselves, or through gray markets and paying through our noses in the process. Well the good news is that it seems Nokia has had a change of heart and according to Nokia’s US President, Chris Weber, he told the folks over at PCMag that the Nokia 808 PureView will be launching in North American markets in the next few months. If you were hoping to get it on a carrier plan and with subsidies, you’re out of luck as the handset will instead be sold unlocked at full retail price and will be compatible with AT&T’s network. While Symbian might not be the reigning mobile platform these days, the 41MP image sensor on the 808 PureView could be good enough reason for some people out there to go get their hands on it.
