One of the perks of using the Android mobile operating system is that out of the box, the platform is a lot more customizable compared to iOS or Windows Phone, so we guess we can’t say that we’re too surprised to learn that the Android developers community has taken it upon themselves to mod popular instant messaging app, WhatsApp, which resulted in WhatsApp PLUS. Developed by XDA member rafalense, WhatsApp PLUS is essentially the same messenger that many smartphone owners have come to rely on, but the main difference is that it will now allow users more customizability options. As pictured in the screenshot above, some of those options includes the ability to change the color of conversations, chats and contacts. It will also come with the ability to change the shape of the chat bubbles along with its opacity. If you’re interested in giving WhatsApp PLUS a spin, head on over to the XDA forums for the download, and in case you’re wondering, the mod does not require your Android device to be rooted, so fret not as it is merely a simple download and installation.
