It seems that the legal woes between Samsung and Apple do not seem to end – not in the immediate future, at least. The Court of Appeals has just denied Samsung’s request for a rehearing in their spat with Apple concerning the potential sales ban of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the US. However, things are not all doom and gloom on Samsung’s side, as across the pond – the Netherlands to be exact, Apple has just lost their case against Samsung where 3G patents are concerned. The court in that part of the world took a look at all the arguments presented by both sides before concluding that Samsung should come out on top – with Apple being a few million dollars poorer (a 5 million Euro figure is being bandied about), but I suspect that monetary loss is secondary to a dented pride. Well, the long drawn legal battles between these two corporate behemoths would most probably continue in the months and perhaps, years ahead judging by what we are looking at right now.
