All right, I guess you can pretty much say that the portable scanner market is about as exciting as a pico projector, but there ought to be sufficient market interest to see companies like Fujitsu pursue the agenda with the latest addition being the ScanSnap S1300i portable scanner. If there is one mobile device that I would really love to have right now, it would be a portable scanner that would certainly make life a whole lot more organized, although some others have advised me to just snap a photo of my receipts with the smartphone.

Well, I would still feel that that is rather awkward, as the Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300i portable scanner, when it works as it should, is pretty speedy. It will feature faster scanning speeds, in addition to boasting the ability of sending over its scanned documents to Android and iOS compatible devices. Not only that, the ScanSnap S1300i will also feature added functionality that allows users to upload scans to cloud-based services such as Dropbox, Evernote, Google Docs, SugarSync and Salesforce Chatter.

This compact Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300i portable scanner will tip the scales at just 3.1 lbs., which offers a simple one-button scanning procedure, while performing as reliably as its predecessors. You will be able to pick up the Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300i for $295 a pop. [Press Release]
