Just the other day we reported that Verizon had started sending text messages to its Droid RAZR/RAZR MAXX owners to inform them that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update was headed their way soon. While this was great news and served as a confirmation, a release date was no where in sight, although assuming that Motorola keeps to their schedule, the update has until next Saturday (30th of June) to meet its “end of Q2” timeframe. With that being said, it seems that there is a good chance of Verizon/Motorola making that date as a new build is reportedly being pushed out to Droid RAZR/RAZR MAXX users that bumps it up to version 6.16.211. Assuming that there are no flaws or last minute bugs that could break the update, the folks at Droid-Life have speculated that this could be the final build that will eventually make its way to Droid RAZR/RAZR MAXX owners on Verizon’s network. Either way we will be keeping our eyes peeled so be sure to check back with us often for the latest updates!
