Don’t you just love design concepts? After all, there are no considerations to think about here – you can go nuts with the specifications and what not, and nobody can hold a gun pointed to your temple and say, “Hey, you can’t do that because <insert law of physics here> does not allow it!” Well, the LEGO BrainBricks is definitely something that I do hope will materialize for the masses one of these days, as this design concept shows off LEGO bricks that have integrated wireless sensors. These bricks are able to sense their configuration with one another, transmitting this positional information sans wires to just about any mobile device. Basically, this means when your physical LEGO creation is completed, it can upload itself to a LEGO app. Bas van de Poel and Daan van Dam of the Wonder Years are the brains behind this concept, and when there is a “schematic” of LEGO bricks in their rightful places, it makes it easier for others to “copy” your design – or at least improve on it.
