Microsoft “Major Announcement” on Monday 6/18, 3:30pm PT. We’re heading to L.A

As you may have heard, Microsoft is holding a mysterious event in Los Angeles tomorrow, and we’re heading there to see what’s new on that front. There were a number of rumors citing a potential Microsoft-branded tablet, a possible demo of Windows Phone 8 and even murmurs about the launch of Office for iPad, so which is it?

It’s hard to tell, but we’re just about sure that this is not about Office for iPad. Instead, Windows 8 tablets are more likely to be demonstrated in details on various hardware platforms. The odds of having a Microsoft tablet are small, although nothing is impossible, and Xbox comes to mind when it comes to successful Microsoft-branded hardware. Yet, this “demo” event would be a bit short of a “major announcement” that the invitation hinted. Let’ wait and see, but we’ll be on-site to bring you the latest updates.
