With the advent of built-in GPS in most smartphones these days, mapping apps have certainly surged forward in terms of popularity. I am quite sure that Google Maps is a hugely popular app considering how it is free and is fairly comprehensive in developed countries. Nokia does not want to be left behind, and have recently updated their Nokia Maps app, where one can download it for free on the Windows Phone Marketplace just for the Nokia Lumia range. It is said that the new mapping experience will end up to be a more personal one, complete with your photos, places reviews and favorite synchronization.

Not only that, you are now able to include a photo to a place description while leaving a relevant review straight from your Nokia Lumia smartphone. Whatever you say virtually will be stored for other people to refer to when they come upon the same place. Bear in mind that Nokia Maps is one of the exclusive apps for Nokia Lumia, so it might just be the required “push” factor for you to pick up a handset with the Windows Phone operating system from the Finnish phone manufacturer.
