If you’re in the market for a set of wireless speakers, Pioneer has recently taken the wraps off three new speaker devices as part of its SMA lineup. This consists of the XW-SMA1, the XW-SMA3 and the XW-SMA4. Starting with the XW-SMA1, this speaker feature dual 3” speakers along with a soft dome tweeter. It also comes equipped with a bass reflex port which is said to help enhance the speaker’s bass response and is expected to retail for $299.

Next up is the XW-SMA3 which features the same hardware as the XW-SMA1, but will instead come with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that is said to be capable of providing 4-6 hours of usage. It has also been housed in a more rugged casing for protection when you are transporting it with you. The XW-SMA3 will retail for a more expensive $399, so we guess the the $100 will depend on whether a more rugged and rechargeable speaker system is really what you need.

Last but not least is the XW-SMA4 which includes 5 speakers – dual 3” speakers, dual soft dome  tweeters and a dedicated 4” subwoofer. It is expected to retail for $399 as well and all three speakers should be arriving in stores in August. All three speakers will also come with HTC Connect support, DLNA 1.5 certification and Pioneer’s Wireless Direct Feature. This will turn the speaker into a wireless hotspot of its own if it is unable to hook onto a local WiFi network. Pretty nifty, huh?
