Live desktops are pretty cool since they can continuously update information on a regular basis. While some might just prefer an animated wallpaper for their desktop, others might prefer something more informative i.e. stock charts, changes in currency, the weather, a new ticket, sports, etc. While all of that might be expected, what is rather unexpected is this live wallpaper dubbed Satellite Eyes. Developed by Tom Taylor, this live wallpaper uses data from Bing Maps and OpenStreetMap to give you a bird’s eye view of your surroundings. Pictured above is one of the skins that users will be able to choose from, while others include skins such as watercolor, toner and terrain styled maps. We have to admit that this is a pretty clever idea so if you’d like get this feature for your computer (Mac OS X only), pop on over to Tom Taylor’s website for the download!
