Sky+ is a TV broadcaster on the other side of the pond, and their user interface had pretty much remained the same for quite some time already. Well, it seems that they are now working on delivering a brand new look in order to usher in the Olympic Games for this year. Just what does this new guide offer? For starters, to keep up with the times, you can rest assured that High Definition is going to be the flavor of the day, where HD graphics will be accompanied alongside new colors and fonts, not to mention Sky+ throwing in improved navigation thanks to listings for eight channels simultaneously. This is definitely an improvement (25% if you are one who roots for percentages) from its previous iteration that carried just half a dozen. Apart from that, the new look also comes with the ability to sort DVR recordings by genre, while there is also a new landing page which will sift through content from different sources – be they live, DVR or video on-demand, by genre.
