Just like Angry Birds which had a tie-in with the Rio movie, it seems that the popular Temple Run game will be getting a movie tie-in of its own! It seems that in conjunction with their upcoming animated movie, Brave, Disney has approached the creators of Temple Run to create a version of the game that will basically be a tie-in game. Unfortunately unlike the regular version of Temple Run, Temple Run Brave will not be free and will cost users $0.99. In order to make up for charging users for the game, its developers will be giving away 2,500 coins which is worth the same amount as well.
The game will feature the character of Merida and will be basically the same game, albeit with a new look and will be played in a forest setting. Of course there will be some new features, and since Merida is an archer in the movie, there will be sections in the game where targets will appear and you have to tap them to shoot, all this while attempting to leap, duck and weave your way around the game. While we have yet to get our hands on the game itself, based on what we’ve seen the graphics do look slightly improved and it looks just as fun, if not more than the original. Temple Run Brave is expected to arrive in the iTunes App Store on the 14th of June, so mark your calendars down if this is a game you wouldn’t mind playing. Until then check out Touch Arcade’s hands-on gameplay video above.
