Jelly BeanGood news for Samsung Galaxy S3 owners – despite the phone being released not too long ago, it looks like you could be in for a major update if rumors are to be believed. The folks over at SamMobile reported that according to their trusted sources, Samsung is almost ready to push out Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to its latest flagship phone. No exact date has been revealed but sometime in August or September seems to be the likely date.

In addition to the Galaxy S3 receiving the update, it looks like the previous generation Galaxy S won’t be missing out on it either. The same sources mentioned that the Galaxy S2’s Jelly Bean update is currently in testing and will be released if everything goes well. So those of you with the Galaxy S2 and waiting for the official update – don’t lose hope yet! No mention of the Galaxy Note or any of Samsung’s tablets, but we’re pretty sure they’ll be capable of handling the update as well. We’ll keep you posted in the future.
