XPadWhen it comes to Android tablets, there are plenty of choices to choose from especially when it comes to tablets for budget-minded users. Well, it looks like the folks over at Simmtronics want to dominate the market with its upcoming Android tablet – the XPad. Making its debut in the Asia-Pacific region, the Xpad will feature a Cortex Arm 8 CPU running at 1GHz, 4GB of internal storage (microSD card slot included), Android 4.0, a multi-touch display (in 7″, 8″, 9″, 9.7″ and 10″ sizes) and WiFi connectivity. So how cheap is cheap going to be? Well it looks like Simmtronics will be selling the 7″ XPad for $81 – pretty cheap for a tablet if you don’t expect to do any heavy duty gaming on it. But budget-conscious folk probably aren’t going to complain. No word on a US release yet, but we’ll find out in due time.
