Steampunk inspired gaming controllers are certainly not new, but if you’ve missed your chance to buy one in the past, or if you’re wondering how to get your hands on one, a custom made steampunk Xbox 360 controller has popped up on eBay and is currently on auction. With 2 days left to go, the controller is currently priced at $66 although we wouldn’t be surprised if it reached into the hundreds closer to the end of the auction. According to its seller, the buttons have been taken from a late 1940’s Woodstock typewriter, while the finish of the controller has been described as:

“This controller was hand painted and hand aged to look very old and worn

It was disassembled and the plastics cleaned with a soft toothbrush and soap

It was then sanded and hand painted to look like real wood on the front casing.

The bumpers are painted to look like aged brass, and the back casing is made to look like aged steel.”

The seller goes on to claim that he put in a couple of hours of gaming with the controller to ensure that it is functioning properly. So if this steampunk Xbox 360 controller looks like something you wouldn’t mind owning or gaming with, pop on over to its eBay listing to place your bids!
