The other day we reported that Apex Launcher had released a beta of its launcher for Android devices that would be based off Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. This should give users a taste of what to expect while they wait for their phones to be officially (or unofficially updated). If you’re not an Apex Launcher person and you prefer its rival, Nova, you might be interested to learn that Nova Launcher has entered a public beta for its own launch that will also be based off Jelly Bean, and here is what users can look forward to in terms of features:

Merge jellybean launcher

* Automatic desktop rearrangement

* Automatic widget resize

* Fling to delete

* Smoother

* More

Import settings from other launchers (Stock, Samsung, HTC, Moto, Trebuchet, Apex)

Custom Drawer grid size

Add Info/Uninstall to quick menu, better centering and scrolling

Update JB Icon Theme for Moto ICS

Fix FCs

If you’re already running Nova Launcher, you can download the public beta by checking for updates. Keep in mind that this is a beta release, which means that bugs are to be expected so don’t be surprised if you encounter any during your use. If you have yet to download Nova Launcher and would like to give it a go, head on over to the Google Play store for the download.
