Folks who suffer from hearing impairment or deafness will find text messaging technology as well as video calls in sign language to be a boon in their everyday communication. The thing is, they tend to miss these calls and messages since they can only rely on the vibration mode of the device, or to make sure the device is within sight at all times so that they can see what’s going on. Good thing the LightOn device changes this, as it will transform audio notifications into visual ones as you can see in the video above. Working with all current phones – smart ones or otherwise, the LightOn is capable of detecting vibration on phones and turning them into a visual light notification.

Not only that, you are able to use LightOn for a hands-free video chat session, which would come in handy when communicating in sign language. It will also function equally well for alarms and other reminders. Totally cool,  but I have no idea on how much it costs.
