Back in 2011, there were reports of a certain Motorola Corvair Android tablet that unfortunately has not been heard from since, at least until recently when an image of the device surfaced in a survey. According to the folks at Engadget, one of their readers sent them in the screenshot pictured above which was part of a Verizon FiOS survey to gauge the reactions of a device that “may be available in the future”. This is not your typical Android tablet as according to the survey, not only will this device run the usual Android apps but will also work as a universal remote control and will stream select TV channels. As far as the specs are concerned, it was reported last year that the Corvair will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and will come with a 4,000mAh battery, but apart from that not much else is known. Hopefully those specs have changed especially if they’re planning to launch it soon and if they’re hoping that it will be a competitive product. Either way we will be keeping our eyes peeled, so check back with us at a later date for more updates!
