If you have been following iPhone and iPad mini rumors, you probably know by now that the mini dock connector seems to be a feature that many believe will be incorporated into the device. Originally rumored to feature 19-pins (down from 30), rumors are now suggesting that it could be even smaller and go 8-pins. While this has yet to be officially revealed, photos have surfaced thanks to iResQ which apparently are components belonging to the rumored iPad mini and the upcoming iPhone. While it does not give us an idea of what the rumored devices will look like, both components feature an 8-pin dock connector and both components have its headphone jack repositioned from the top of the device, to the bottom of the device where the dock connector is located. However as with the case of the majority of Apple rumors, they are best taken with a grain of salt until they can be officially confirmed. However with an expected announcement taking place in September, we guess we don’t have long to wait to see if the rumors have panned out!
