Good news Sony photographers! If you loved Sony’s SLT and NEX series of cameras but wished that they came in full frame mode, your wish might be granted. According to a tip given to the folks at Sony Alpha Rumors, it seems that Sony could be introducing a NEX camera with a full frame sensor! Unfortunately apart from this gem, it was not clear as to whether this full frame sensor could be making its way to the rumored NEX-5R or NEX-6 cameras, or if it will be a brand new camera of its own. Assuming the rumors are to believed, a brand new camera (not the 5R or 6) with a full frame sensor would make more sense. For those wondering what the big deal is, full frame sensors can be typically found on high end DSLR cameras which are usually out of the reach of many consumers, so for Sony to make a full frame NEX camera would make it somewhat more affordable. In any case we suggest you take this with a grain of salt for now and check back with us later for more updates!
