Sony Xperia P to receive Android 4.0 ICS 19-25 August, according to Sony Mobile India

We knew that Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich was bound to roll out to the Sony Xperia P, but we guess the bigger question on everyone’s minds was when? Well according to Sony Mobile India’s Facebook page, it seems that an update to Android 4.0 ICS will be taking place between the 19th and 25th of August. Of course given that this was posted on Sony Mobile India’s Facebook page, it is unclear as to whether those dates are specific to India or if they are global. Either way if the announcement is limited to just the Indian market, we expect that a global rollout of Android 4.0 for the Xperia P should follow shortly, if not before. Of course those in the US who are tied to carriers might have to wait longer as the update will probably be pending carrier approval, but either way we will be keeping our eyes peeled so check back with us on the 19th for more updates!
