Asus Transformer Pad Prime (TF201) receives Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, Transformer Pad Infinity update delayed

Asus Transformer Pad Prime (TF201) receives Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, Transformer Pad Infinity update delayed Yesterday, we talked about how the Asus Transformer Pad Prime and Transformer Pad Infinity devices were in line for the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update within the next 72 hours. One thing’s for sure though, Transformer Pad Prime (also known as model TF201) owners have already started to receive their Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, while leaving Asus Transformer Pad Infinity owners in the dark. Asus did mention on their website that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Transformer Pad Infinity has been delayed, and there has been no further information on the release date just yet. I guess there would be still at least 48 hours left in the time window left, so being patient would be the best course of action at this point in time for Transformer Pad Infinity owners. We do look forward to hearing from those of you who have already installed the “smooth as butter” Jelly Bean update, has your tablet experience been enhanced?

Jelly Bean (Android): is also known as Android 4.1. It improves upon 4.0 in a few ways: 1/ "butter smooth" user interface, thanks to many changes on how graphics operations are timed and synchronized. 2/ automatic widget re-sizing so that users can max out their screen space. 3/ Voice typing goes offline, which is great because the previous version only worked if the data connection was good. 4/ Better camera app that makes reviewing and curating photos easier. 5/ Google Now is a personal assistant which competes with Apple's Siri. Transformer Prime: has for official name Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime. It is a tablet based on a metal-design that has the particularity of docking to a very thin (optional) keyboard dock that turns it into a small instant-on Android laptop, hence the name "Transformer". The concept was introduced with the first Eee Transformer. The Transformer Prime is powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 SoC and has ample room for storage expansion with a microSDXC built-in port, and the keyboard's SDXC port.
