The modder who managed to cram in the innards of a Mac Mini into an old school Apple II Disk Drive some years ago has decided to put up the creation on eBay in order for him to have additional space for other projects. This particular Mac Mini mod will be powered by a 1.5Ghz Core Solo processor, where it is accompanied by 2GB RAM – paltry by today’s standards, but this does not mean that it will not be able to work decently even today, assuming you are not in too interested in video games, as standard web browsing, emails and social networking ought to be able to run just fine on this puppy.

It must be said that one of the more interesting aspects of this Mac Mini Apple II Disk Drive mod would be the slot-loading DVD drive which has been perfectly aligned with the old floppy disk slot. Modder Charles Mangin decided to list a starting price of $500 for this 5.25″ floppy drive Mac Mini mod, although those who want to pick it up on the spot without having to fight with other peoples’ bids will have to fork out $1,000 outright.
