It looks like the Xbox LIVE service still thinks that it is Labor Day, taking a rest from its duties. First, Xbox LIVE was down and folks could down download the Skyrim Hearthfire DLC, and now, it seems that Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker has done a Houdini, that is, disappeared from Xbox LIVE. Vanished completely. Yes sir, the Metal Gear franchise has gotten plenty of press lately with Ground Zeroes as well as confirmation for a new movie, but it seems that not all is rosy about the franchise as the Xbox 360 version of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker has been yanked from Xbox LIVE.

Publisher Konami has yet to update the masses on the matter with a statement, but players did share their grievances after experiencing random freezing and console lock ups, which might be why Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker has been removed from the Xbox 360 Games on Demand service. It might be a temporary removal until the freezing issues are fixed, as Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker still remains on Xbox.com’s database.
