Earlier today we reported that the Nintendo Wii U would be released in Japan on the 8th of December. The good news is that if you thought that the 8th of December released was a bit too late for your liking, well it seems that for those in the US, we can expect the Wii U to launch on the 18th of November, Sunday. Much like the Japan release, the US release will come in two flavors – a basic set and a deluxe set, with the former coming in white and will basically come with just the console and the necessary hardware and a storage capacity of 8GB, while the deluxe version will come in black and additional accessories like the a charging cradle, stands for the GamePad and console and will come with a 32GB HDD. The basic set will be priced at $299.99, while the deluxe set will be priced at $349.99. So, what do you guys think? Are these prices higher/lower than you had expected, and will you be picking one up for yourself?
